How ImChatty Works for Tutors

Getting started is free and simple

Joining ImChatty as a tutor costs nothing. Sign up, complete a short certification step (a CEFR-level check and one AI-scored teaching scenario), and once approved you're listed in the tutor marketplace where students can find and book you. At this point your students and their success is our priority. There's no subscription, no listing fee, and no cut taken just to be discoverable.

You set your own rate

Your hourly rate is entirely up to you. You can change it any time from your dashboard, and it applies to every session you're booked for. We don't set price floors or ceilings — you know your market and your value better than we do.

What makes a tutor successful here

The tutors who do best on ImChatty tend to do a few things well: they complete their profile properly with a real photo, a clear description of what a session with them looks like, and what kind of student they're best suited for. They actively promote their own profile link wherever their existing audience already is (Instagram, TikTok, a personal site, and so on). A complete, specific profile converts far better than a bare one, and driving your own traffic to it compounds with whatever ImChatty sends your way.

AI tools that support your teaching

One of our truly unique features: Every tutor has access to ImChatty's AI tools alongside their own teaching — AI-assisted lesson prep, scenario practice for students between sessions, and scoring and feedback tools that help students track progress. These are there to support your sessions, not replace you: you set the teaching style, we'll make suggestions and hopefully bring insight into your current methodology.

We're new — and we're honest about it

ImChatty is a new and growing platform, not an established marketplace with thousands of tutors, yet. If you're already managing your own clients/tutoring business through social media and ImChatty doesn't feel like the right fit yet, that's completely fine. We would genuinely be happy to promote your existing booking link to our students in the meantime, at no cost to you.

Where this is heading

The plan is for student feedback to directly shape improved rates and improved visibility for the tutors who earn it, and for the platform to keep evolving quickly as more students join. Early tutors have the most to gain as that happens.
