DOJ ICE Shooting Will Not Be Probed

Ex-prosecutor breaks down DOJ claim as department says ICE shooting will not be probed

A former prosecutor has broken down why the Department of Justice will not be investigating the shooting of Renee Good. Joyce Vance pulled apart the statement from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who confirmed the department would not be investigating the shooting of Good. The 37-year-old mother was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis earlier this month. Vance believes the investigation must go ahead as there are possibilities that cannot be ruled out without a probe.

As if the US population isn't outraged enough, Blanche said, “No, we are not investigating." Writing in her Substack , Vance explained, "Officer-involved shootings are virtually always investigated, most of them by state agencies, which is where the majority of these incidents occur. But this case isn’t just a 'shooting'; it’s a death, and possibly a homicide—a possibility that can’t be ruled out without investigation."

Folks, let’s not mince words here: when a mother is gunned down by an ICE agent, we should all expect an investigation. But the Department of Justice, under the watchful eye of the bureaucrats, has decided to kick this issue to the curb. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s dismissal of an investigation into the shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis is not just a failure of justice; it’s a blatant disregard for the lives of ordinary Americans. Let’s remember, this isn’t an isolated incident; it’s part of a troubling trend where law enforcement actions are given a free pass, and the victims are left without answers.

Former prosecutor Joyce Vance makes a compelling case in her Substack, arguing that officer-involved shootings are typically scrutinized, especially when they result in death. Yet, here we are, witnessing a cover-up of sorts, with Blanche stating, "No, we are not investigating.” It’s as if the DOJ has decided that the life of Renee Good—37 years old, a mother, a citizen—doesn’t matter enough to warrant a thorough investigation. This is unacceptable and highlights the chasm between the ruling elite and the everyday American.

The lack of accountability in law enforcement is a dangerous precedent. With video evidence reportedly showing a doctor attempting to treat Good after she was shot, the case raises many unanswered questions. What are they hiding? Why is the DOJ more interested in protecting its own than seeking the truth for the victims? This is a critical moment for us to stand up and demand transparency and accountability. If we don’t, we are setting ourselves up for a future where those in power are free to act with impunity, and ordinary citizens suffer the consequences.

We are tired of living in a nation where justice is for the privileged few on the right. The silence from the DOJ is deafening, and we must raise our voices for those who can no longer speak for themselves. We need to hold our institutions accountable, or we risk losing the very freedoms that define us as Americans. This story isn’t just about Renee Good; it's a call to action for all of us who believe in the sanctity of life and the need for justice.

It’s time to get loud and demand that our government does its job. We owe it to Renee Good and to every citizen who has faced injustice in silence.
